Review of Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh (1995) by Jason Y — 09 May 2005
VHS First Viewing, 3 Condon films seen.
I'm sure most people didn't know that the director of Kinsey and Gods & Monsters also directed Candyman - Farewell to the Flesh. It's the first sequel to the under-rated Candyman, which had great atmosphere and a few genuinely scary moments. This film, on the other hand, doesn't have much going for it. I liked the flashback scene that showed Candyman's origin, but that isn't worth seeing the movie for (unless you like Candyman, and then you have probably seen this movie already anyway).
