Review of Candyman (1992) by Rodney E — 14 Sep 2013
Candyman is a classic horror movie from the early 90's. Unfortunately they tried to make a franchise out of this. Playing off of the urban legend of Bloody Mary Candyman offers some chills and features Cabrini Green.
Tony Todd is good as the title villain and makes the movie work, which could have totally sucked. Virginia Madsen is delicious as the student investigating the Candyman legend and finds herself living a nightmare.
She is even hot covered in blood wearing a bra. The twists of the movie worked and made it more unsettling.
