Review of Candyman (1992) by Jessica B — 24 Oct 2008
This is one of my favorite horror movies, it contains some of the most beautiful images you can see in a horror film (the woman walking out of the graffitied face, the paintings, the use of blood, lights, and the bathroom stall), what I love most, is the fact that almost all of the jump moments aren't from the Candyman himself (though he is frightening and sinister) but from normal things we see on a day to day basis (the gangsters attacking, the dog barking, and what not) though there were some supernatural jump moments as well.
There really is nothing I felt wrong with with this movie, this may be one of the few perfect horror films, ever.
