Review of Candyman (1992) by Hugo G — 23 Jun 2013
The most haunting, scary, gruesome, disturbing, beautiful urban legend movie I've ever seen. "Candyman" is downright chilling, from the white-knuckling performance of Tony Todd in the title role to Phillip Glass's sad and eerie music to its hefty amount of gore to its originality.
Clive Barker, with writer-director Bernard Rose, has crafted a story guaranteed to freak you out. I dare you to say his name in the mirror more than once. P.S. If you don't like bees, stay the hell away!
