Review of Candyman (1992) by Marcus L — 21 Jul 2013
"Candyman" is a beautiful, original and poetic horror movie, that sets its plot in an urban environment combined with the classic gothic context represented by the figure of the anti-hero Candyman.
Tony Todd plays this villain perfectly, a dramatic and tragic character who at the same time scares and seduces, Virginia Madsen's character and the audience. The beautiful and tragic score composed by genius Philip Glass completes this underrated film.
