Review of Camille Claudel (1988) by Lenard K — 05 Feb 2008
Parisian sculptor has affair with fellow artist Auguste Rodin. One of the problems with movies about art is that artistic creation is always more passionate than romance. Still, the movie touches on the problem that artistic types can not only be creative themselves, but they can also suck the creativity out of others.
Oddly, the breakdown reminded me of Factory Girl which I'd just seen a couple of months earlier.
