Review of Camille Claudel (1988) by Sherwin L — 05 Nov 2011
I missed this when it came out in the late 80s. An un-romanticized biopic of the famous sculptor, her struggle with mental illness and to escape the shadow of her famous counterpart Rodin, this flick is straightforward and enjoyable.
We just walked by Claudel's house/studio at Ile St-Louis last week, what a view! One would indeed have to be mad to board the windows with wooden planks.
