John McDonagh may well be a genius. This is quite possibly one of Irelands greatest ever movies. This holds a mirror up to the real Ireland which is why Irish American fans of The Quite Man wont get it.
An important movie that highlights everything that's wrong with us as a nation. This is also why a lot of Irish people won't like it. We don't do self criticism very well. Brilliant. I am now putting Gleeson down on my favourite actors list.
Should have done it ages ago.
