Review of Call Me by Your Name (2017) by Jon J — 29 Dec 2017
Guadagnino is a master of his craft here, allowing the film to sit and let us truly feel what Elio and Oliver are feeling. We're much less observers as participants in the doomed dance done between the two men.
The film is a beautiful slice of a summer neither man will soon forget, and I hope Guadagino goes ahead with his plans to continue the story in a Before Trilogy style, for this is one story that I won't forget either.
