We went and saw Call Me By Your Name and I simply cannot stop thinking about the movie. It is one of the most poignant, sensual, heartbreaking love stories I have seen. The layers in this movie just keep unfolding.
It takes place in Italy in the early 80's and delivers an emotionally charged landscape that is hard to find in many of today's movies. The acting is some of the best I have seen. Timothee Chalamet hits ALL the marks! I will be shocked if the lead and supporting actors do not receive nominations.
I also believe this movie is a shoe in for at the very least a Best Picture and Best Director nods. Soundtrack is stunning. Cinematography is breathtaking. This is a movie I will see again...and probably have an even greater emotional reaction to it.
