Most everything the critics say about this movie is true. 'Call Me by Your Name' is a handsomely filmed coming of age story about a young lad enraptured by a handsome, intelligent and witty grad student.

The performances by Timothe?e Chalamet and Armie Hammer capture the essence of their characters (although readers of the book may have different opinions). The summer story is told at an achingly belabored slow pace.

All the angst of the summer doesn't have an ending until it is tied up in a ribbon in a late scene speech by the boy's father. It is one summer of life to be treasured.
