This was my 2nd choice for Best Picture. CMBYN is a story of a 17 year old Italian boy finding himself falling for his father's American part time assistant.

This is a really rare film where every scene is integral to the story and the characters. Sometimes when you watch films, you can tell which scenes are the obvious fillers that could be removed without damaging the plot. But in this film, every scene had to be in there.

The chemistry between Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer is amazing. It's just a joy seeing both of them act together. They are the best on screen couple I've ever had the pleasure to watch.

Now I really do not like LGBT romance films where there is no development on the character's relationships. Take Brokeback Mountain for example, I couldn't finish the film because there was no development in the relationship. But CMBYN has great character development and throughout the film you just really want them to make the move already.

The film has a fitting soundtrack which includes the beautiful nominated original song, Mystery of Love from Sufjan Stevens. This song really captures the emotion and the feel of the story, and it really should have won the Oscar instead.

I have to give credit to director Luca Guadagdino. His vision is clear, and his scenes are filmed very carefully and beautifully, screenplay is flawless, the setting is perfect. Truly snubbed for Best Director nomination.

The ending credits of the film is also one of the most unique film endings I've ever seen. Yes, credits. The credits roll through while the scene is still playing and I truly can't reveal more without spoiling it. But it's really beautiful.

Girls will find joy watching this film cause Timothee is shirtless for 75% of the film while Armie is in his short shorts 50% of the film.

With all that being said, I really don't see any flaws in the film. It's truly the best LGBT film of all time for me. This is one where I will be watching a few times over and over again. That's how much I love this.
