Whilst this was written as a Roman epic, then re-written as a political satire/costume drama and then picked up by a porn distributor that spliced in around fifteen minutes of unsimulated sexual footage, the performances of the cast, the grandeur of the sets, and the 'creativity'(?) of the gore along with just how gratuitous and unwavering everything about the movie is.
.. Its just wonderful, pornographic, sleazy, and plenty offensive yes, but it's just so wonderful.
