The movie overall was better than I thought it would be, mainly because I didn't want to see it but it had some awards buzz for Jennifer Aniston performance. And so she does deliver a good performance and very different to any of her previous work, but the movie is never on par with her, the story is not very moving as it hopes it would be, and it simply seems pointless at times. On the other side, Adriana Barraza was really good in a more supporting role, and aside from her and Aniston, there is not much more but a kind of sad story. In general, I'm not sure if Jennifer Aniston's work is really Oscar nominating worthy compared with other excellent performances from this year, but she does give a very good performance compared to many of her past work, and that is something to be applauded and recognized.
