Review of Cake (2014) by Vulcan S — 27 Jan 2015
Cake is an enduring film that's more than a showcase of Jennifer Aniston's career defining performance. Instead of constructing a transformed, powerful deliverance that's shooting for any awards or praise, both the filmmakers and Aniston establish a genuine emotion without being overly sentimental.
The lack of manipulation and melodrama certainly add depth to the overall experience, surly an underrated movie.
