'Cake' has problems with plotting and writing, becoming fake and manipulative in spots. Though, with reservations, I recommend the performances of Jennifer Aniston and the equally great, Adriana Barraza.
Their character's relationship put this one in the win column. Their performances are better than the script. Should Aniston been nominated for an Oscar? You can be the judge but then Barraza should have been nominated too.
