Review of Cake (2014) by Julie G — 03 Jul 2015
Jennifer Aniston shows her range and gutwrenching limitlessness as she plumbs rock bottom as a mother dealing with the loss of her child and opiate addiction). The script lacks exposition, both to its strength and detriment for different reasons (realism vs.
boring real time drama) and the story story takes a while to grab you - but it ultimately lured me in with it its characters and redemptive arc. Brit/sexy ginger Sam Worthington is reason alone to watch it.
