Review of Cairo Time (2009) by Andrea S — 26 Sep 2010
Patricia Clarkson and Alexander Siddig are both charming enough to watch in this sort of "middle aged" version of Before Sunset, but story-wise, there's really not much more here than meets the eye.
Man meets married woman when she visits his country, they walk around a lot and make flirty eye gestures. The end. Despite the underwhelming simplicity of the story, the simplicity of the characters is quite refreshing, and the performances are rich.
It's hardly a revelation, but there's not too much negative I can say about it either. Solid movie, just not very ambitious.
