Review of Cairo Time (2009) by Anne C — 30 Nov 2010
It's a quiet film.
Showing the fantastic scenery of Egypt and the cycle of an alien immigrant from a foreign land attempting to adjust while waiting for her husband's return.
I wasn't really into it that much though since the whole thing felt like a home video recording of just going from place-to-place.
Patricia Clarkson's acting is terrific and so is Alex Siddig's.
But honestly, I was expecting way more to emmerse me into the emotional aspect of it all.
It just seemed like it was really pointless and there was no real conflict.
It seemed very slow for things to progress.
And it just ends like that (no big deal) :/.
