Review of Café Lumière (2004) by Juan D — 17 Feb 2008
Beautifully shot film with a plot that is handled and presented as it would be in real life. The choice of Hou to film a tribute to Ozu is apt, as he has all the Ozu-like touches and then updates them and makes them his own.
The cinematography is amazing in this film too! Not his best film but its still lovely.
