Review of Caddyshack II (1988) by Ryan H — 11 Aug 2004

Now when I watched this film I thought with such a funny first one how could they ruin the sequel. Well I was way way way off, now I ask myself what didn't they do wrong. I will give this film credit for being mildly entertaining but this film is way to clean for a sequel to the ultimate bum flick.

I mean its like they made this movie for kids and lets face it Caddyshack is not a kid movie. One big problem I had with this film is the acting: corny, dull, boring, and extremely stupid. When I say stupid I don't mean funny stupid like the original I mean just flat out dumb, the kind of humor that makes you ask WHY DID I WATCH THIS MOVIE? This movie near ruined the original for me, how did they manage to get such a bad film.

Well here it is: No Rodney Dangerfield or Bill Murray. Now Chevt Chase was funny in the original but in this movie he is just another background character caught up in the bad scripting and another problem is Randy Quaid, one of my favorite comediens, lines are just so bad.

I say if you enjoyed the original In any way at all AVOID THIS MOVIE ENTIRELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
