Jackie Mason tries to be the same kind of role as Rodney Dangerfield's classic character from the original and just doesn't come close. Similarily Dan Aykroyd attempts something very close to Bill Murray's character.
The gopher and brief Chevy is basically the only things that make this barely checking out. I saw this a lot when it came out and the original was always better. It was kind of funny when I was seven but the last time that I tried watching this was pretty tough.
