Review of Caddyshack (1980) by Greg P — 11 Dec 2011
Caddyshack is one of those hilarious comedies that you can watch over and over and it never gets old. The cast is outstanding. Rodney Dangerfield, in his first movie role, has so many great jokes (it's almost like he's doing stand-up on the golf course).
Ted Knight is so good as the pretentious and arrogant Judge Smails. Chevy Chase has so many great one-liners and his "be the ball" philosophy has led to many people trying his na-na-na method in real life, even as just a joke.
Bill Murray is so off the wall and out there. Cindy Morgan looks amazing. Michael O'Keefe does a nice job as Danny Noonan and you really route for him at the end. There is also some great music here.
"I'm Alright" is such an awesome movie theme and seeing a group of people dancing on the golf course to "Any Way You Want It" is so great. This movie actually makes me consider thinking about taking up golf.
It's a definite must see for everyone.
