Review of Caddyshack (1980) by Marlon E — 18 Jul 2009

I was recently alerted to the fact that I had not seen Caddyshack, and that this was a major offense to everyone around me. So I saw it, and what am I going to say? That I didn't like it? Of course I did.

Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Rodney Dangerfield... so many of the greats are here. It seems like everyone just says whatever they feel like (especially Chevy and Dangerfield), and the result is pure gold - and highly quotable.

Also, has anyone noticed how many late 70s/80s movies have subplots about pregnant girlfriends, and subsequently, abortions? Grease, Dirty Dancing, Fast Times At Ridgemont High, and now this... What's up with that? Anyway, now I too can give people all kinds of shit about not having seen Caddyshack and proceed to quote every line I can think of.
