I was a fan of the original film for what it tried to do and it got more right than wrong, but this film is far worse. The film follows every single classic horror cliche' established in the first and kinda just becomes a bit boring.
There are plenty of horror gore moments in the film, but far and few in between. I wanted to have fun with the film, but it just kinda breezed over me. I'd say it's a RENTAL! Rent once and never again.
Not exciting or not too bad because it knew what it wanted to be.
