Cabin Fever 2 - 2 stars.

It's always a worry when the director (in this case Ti West) publicly disowns a film. One wonders what could have been... On the plus side this takes the story in a new direction (beware Rider Strong's misleading top billing) to a school prom with the local bottled water causing the flesh-eating infection to wreak havoc on the students. There's plenty of skewed humour and gross-out moments but... the story is a mess (the animated ending tacked on) and the dialogue is simply awful, mainly consisting of lots of shouting, screaming and use of the f word. For real prom-horror wait for The Loved Ones instead.
