Review of Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever (2009) by Phil D — 20 May 2012
Gory, gross, hilarious and instantly surpass the first Cabin Fever. Cabin Fever 2 Spring Fever is a real gorefest with lots of hilarious moments that will make you laugh a lot. Cabin Fever 2 Spring Fever takes place after the events of the first Cabin Fever and this time the flesh eating virus is now out of the woods and it is now in the prom at a local high school through contaminated water and when one of the High school students drink the contaminated water at the prom the kids at the prom started dying slowly and the CCD has sealed the building and the survivors who aren't infected tried to survive what they have just witnessed.
To be honest I never watched the first movie although I did like this one and this movie is wild and hilarious and I did like the style of this film and everything about Cabin Fever 2 is neat and perfect.
What's great about Cabin Fever 2 is that the film has a great opening scene where we see that the water is contaminated and it shows that it is being taken through the local high school and the animation of the film fits well so far in the movie and I did enjoy it so far.
The idea of the animation is great and I seriously like how Director Ti West uses a lot of his own style when it comes to modern Horror movies and I think that he seriously beat Eli Roth's original movie so far because this movie has a better and funnier feel than the first film mainly because the first film had a lot of issues like bad dialogue and a couple of uneven pacing issues from the first half.
Here Cabin Fever 2 doesn't have any of those and for a direct to DVD release the acting is neat. What I do like about Cabin Fever 2 Spring Fever is that the film has a lot of hilarious moments and hilarious dialogues throughout the entire film.
There are so many scenes that will make you laugh on your seat in the film. The scene before Bill(the man who works for the water company)dies and a young lady started saying so many things made me laugh a lot because the way the girl speaks and her dialogue is super hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing at the way the girl reacts because she is super funny when she says a lot of things before Bill dies.
I also enjoy the scene where Alex asked John if he's gay because John couldn't find his type of girl he wants to go with to the prom and Alex's dialogue is hilarious and it made me laugh so far.
The principal is funny as well in the film when he's dressing up for the prom and his dialogue is hilarious I couldn't stop laughing at the principal's reactions in the film. Also the scene where Winston's cousin knocks out a guy who is not allowing everyone to leave town seriously made me laugh a lot when he knocked the guy out and it is super funny in the film so far.
While the film is seriously hilarious what I also enjoy about Cabin Fever 2 is that the film has a lot of 80's themes and the style and references is so 80's which I did enjoy so far in the film.
What I also enjoy about this movie is that the film is full of wild and non stop gory and gross out moments and it's just like the original only that there's more and more of it. Seriously the gore is wild in this film and the gross outs are seriously non stop in the entire film and this film seriously has loads of people vomiting lots of blood gallons and gallons of blood plus you also get to see various gory death scenes as well and it seriously makes the movie look good so far.
The acting is great all of the casts seriously did a good job with they're performances in the film so far. Writer and Director Ti West seriously did a really good job with his work with this film and I'm seriously proud with his work with Cabin Fever 2 Spring Fever and this film seriously surpasses the first Cabin Fever so far.
Overall Cabin Fever 2 Spring Fever gets a 10/10 because this film has all of the improvements that the first movie didn't have.
