Among one of the best musicals I've ever seen. Liza is amazing. Her voice captivates you but at the same time makes you feel pity for her. The mark of a great performer. The direction is dazzling and it deserved all the recognition it got.
Yes, the film may cover taboo subjects and it may come off a little bit sour at the end, but it is precisely then when you inhale this brilliant spectacle that has resulted from this collaboration of performers and artists who truly know what they are doing.
