Review of Cabaret (1981) by Vincent O — 18 Jan 2008
Predates almost everything on the Nazi uprising and is more memorable for the musical numbers (and the amazing chorography) than as a movie. Liza Minnelli and Joel Grey look exactly right and there are some nice details such as an Otto Dix painting hanging in thr 'Kit Kat' club.
Made into a West End real show.
