Review of Cabaret (1981) by Jon G — 26 Feb 2008
Wilkommen! Leave all your inhibitions about stagy musical numbers, cross dressing krauts, Nazi paraphrenalia up the wazoo and well, Liza Minnelli at the door and enjoy this breezy, gloriously filmed zinger from Bob Fosse.
All of the performances live for the moment and many of the numbers are show stopping. Perhaps too much pizazz, but still a fun film about the people a part of a smoky night club in 1931 Berlin.
