Review of Cabaret (1981) by Matt D — 11 Mar 2009
Liza Minelli is unforgettable in the role of Sally Bowles in this enjoyable piece, with great dances and musical numbers by helmer Bob Fosse, who manages to balance them with the story and background of the Nazi party's rise in 1931 Berlin.
A great mix of style and sleaze, no wonder it won eight Oscars.
