I wished if it was directed in the same way interview with the vampire was directed, it was obvious Jordan was trying to stay away from that mode of storytelling and that was both a curse and a blessing, it was a good story, chilling atmosphere,visually amazing,great acting,but it came out messy and disoriented and it definitely need some more editing, I wished if it had a better structure, a start with the narration of the diaries maybe, 200 yrs before and going from there until present time and the consequences of the mother's choices, loved Gemma in this role, but Saoirse is not the most compelling actress, I wished if she could be more fierce in her roles, to let her voice go through changes and be a little stronger, I mean for god's sake she makes kirsten dunst as Claudia seems incredibly professional and powerful!! and she was a lot younger and newer to acting back then.
