Review of BUtterfield 8 (1960) by Keenan S — 12 Oct 2012
This film is a weird, trashy mess, but oddly entertaining mess to say the least. The script is all over the place, and sometimes the acting is hit-or-miss, but Elizabeth Taylor steals the show as the lonely call girl whose life is being torn apart by family troubles and more intimate relationships.
I really enjoyed Butterfield 8, and I think it is one of the more underrated films of Elizabeth Taylor's career.
