Review of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) by Rob H — 12 Aug 2011
What won me over were the extra features on the dvd, which included a documentary balancing fact and fiction in real life, versus the movie. The movie was a little slow during the 1/2 hour superposse-chase, which had to be that way because it was the first time a western hero ran away from a confrontation.
Butch Cassidey and Sundance were the last famous western outlaws, the end of an era, who disproved the saying that there are no second acts in history by becoming just as famous in Bolivia as they were in America.
'Raindrops' was one of the most played songs on the radio in the early 1970s, and here's where it got it legs.
