Review of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) by Dustin G — 13 Oct 2011

Great for the relationship between Butch & Sundance and the amazing chemistry and acting skills between Newman and Redford, also features some great writing and fun action.

I will say the pursuit that happens in the middle of the film goes on far too long and the story starts to lag there for a while. It also hasn't aged particularly well, and the older it gets, the more obvious it is how very miscast Katherine Ross was.

The beginning is great. In fact, the honey coloured into has such a cool look, it had me wishing the rest of the film looked that way as well. And the famous final shot is as powerful and fantastic as it ever was. Truly one of the greatest endings in film history.
