Redford and Newman here create the greatest buddy duo in all of film, in a delightfully anachronistic, subversive, revisionist western. It is both technically and thematically brilliant, as well as wildly entertaining.
It contains perhaps my favorite final line of dialogue in all of cinema. It also has one of the weirdest and coolest soundtracks ever. I love this movie so much.
