Review of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) by Jez M — 22 May 2013
Alternately hilarious and poignant, Butch and Sundance's downfall mirrors the downfall of the Western itself as they struggle to find a place in a world that has simply had enough of them. Redford, Newman and Ross are each fantastic, and paired with Bacharach's iconic score they created perhaps one of the slightest late era Westerns, yet also one of the most enjoyable.
