Review of Bus Stop (1956) by Sarah B — 29 Oct 2007
A comedy-drama about a young cowboy who, having been raised on a ranch away from women, goes to the city for the first time, falls instantly in love with a sexy bar singer (Monroe, of course), essentially abducts her, taking her more or less against her will back to the ranch to marry her, until a bus driver finally stands up for her and whoops his ass; then, after the ass-whooping, the cowboy comes to realize that his behavior towards Monroe was inappropriate, he apologizes to her, she forgives him, and in reward for his last-minute change of heart, the buxom hottie decides to marry him after all.
