I never read the book, though I own it, but this film makes me WANT to read the book.

I always say I hate American History...still do, but we have 2 horrible aspects of history that need to be taught. I feel that slavery, the civil rights movement and what generally happened to Afro-Americans in this country is taught (though pretty minimally), people are quite ignorant to the basic plight of the Native American. This film delves into the land deals that were complete bullshit and the American soldiers general brutality towards the Natives.
