Review of Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee (2007) by Daine V — 02 Jul 2008
Visual artistry, attention to detail and high production values makes this production compelling and entertaining. All the leads are excellent, and from what I understand the story of the gradual cultural genocide of Native Americans is factual.
The main characters aren't stereotyped - they are complex with good and bad sides which adds to the realism of the movie. In this film the government wanted access to run a railway, to mine gold, and to develop the west.
This documents the human cost of this path.
