Review of Burnt by the Sun (1994) by Thomaz N — 12 Oct 2007
Arguably Mikhalkov's best, this gem of a movie depicts the deep moral contradictions inherent to totalitarianism and fanatism. A true must-see - if not for the plot, at least to see Menshikov's exquisite acting.
