Outlandish, and mostly dumb, characters dominate this satire of attempted blackmail. Like their earlier efforts, the Coen bros. bring fun and ridiculous characters to a rather meaningless plot that means to entertain.
The actors have their fun, yet nothing memorable truly sticks much time after viewing the movie.
