Review of Burn! (1969) by Mark F — 14 Nov 2007
Some people study "revolutionary subjectivity" in high falootin' theory jargon. This film just tells the tale of a fictional revolution in the Antilles. The best line in the film, (I'll paraphrase) "you can't give people freedom, freedom is something you must work for on your own.
" I recently read Black Jacobins and was really impressed at how true to life this film was.
