Review of Burn! (1969) by Nato G — 23 Jul 2008
This could well be called "Confessions of a 19th Century Economic Hit Man--The Movie!" It's a tidy allegory that tries ambitiously to capture dialectical materialism. Also, one of the most interesting things about Pontecorvo as a filmmaker is how he creates crowds as a full and compelling character in his films.
