Review of Burlesque (2010) by Michael V — 02 Jul 2011
"Another pretty good musical flick with solid performances by it's cast and some good musical numbers. Christina Aguilera is good here & as gorgeous as ever. She did a much better job in her movie debut than Mariah Carey did in Glitter back in 03' but obviously Xtina is in this because of her amazing singing vocals (I like her as an artist as well) & beautiful voice so she was perfect for the role. Cher is solid, Stanley Tucci is funny, Cam Gigandet is good (quickly becoming one of the future supporting versatile actors) & Kristen Bell while limited is great here in a rare serious role.".
"I've mentioned a lot in my reviews, I HATE musicals but not these type of muscials where you don't have to start singing a muscial number about something (example: High School Musical, From Justin To Kelly, etc). Burlesque may not be as good as Chicago but it's more enjoyable than Nine, Mamma Mia & Dreamgirls.".
