I'm not sure how else to put this: Burlesque would be better if it were worse. It certainly is one of the most derivative, unoriginal movies I've ever seen, except for the clever end of the storyline that asks the question "How are we going to save Cher's burlesque club?" But: Christina's voice is still bring-down-the-house powerful, and I bumped my rating up one entire point in gratitude for Cher's "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me.
