If you're a bit gaga for burlesque then you may know that the term 'burlesque' basically means 'send up'. It's a joke, a parody an exaggeration. So luckily for me 'Burlesque' is just that, it's stupid, ridiculous and trashy.
There are obvious nods to films such as Cabaret and Rob Marshall's latest take on the musical genre. For those who like this kinda thing it's the kinda thing you'll like. Plus one of my favourite 'car window smashing' scenes ever.
