Review of Burlesque (2009) by Jerry B — 28 May 2011
I've seen this sort of film a million times before but what saves it from complete mediocrity are the actors and their characters - particularly Stanley Tucci - the songs, and the dancing - all enjoyable.
Some great pieces of witty dialogue are unfortunately countered by too many sickly "Coyote Ugly" and "Made for TV Movie" moments. Watch this for the singing and dancing alone.
