Review of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) by Jerry B — 24 May 2013
It is the F&F Franchise at its most indulgent before they began to turn into heist movies, but it is still fun and even thrilling at times. The main character is actually at his best when he is not saying anything since his country accent is just so terrible, but at least he has a believable arc despite the almost silly transitions that take place to get to it.
There are also some good proverbs and motivations in this movie and even poignant moments that cause some of these characters to rise above just filler for the car scenes, but it is still a Fast and Furious movie so do not go in expecting a case study on the human condition.
