Review of Buried (2010) by Todd G — 24 Jun 2012
Surprising in its filming style and tiny scope, this movie still fits the fear of being buried alive into a grander world we never see.
The performance depends entirely on Reynolds as the only actor ever seen in this unique "set-piece". The movie depends on a lot more than claustrophobia and a lot of smart choices were made on how to film inside this tiny environment and how to work with the lighting and scale.
The story is pretty tight and the voice actors, especially Tobolowsky, bring the right edge of dispassion or sympathy, as required.
